As a Support Worker, you will assist young people to develop independent living skills, support them engaging with education or employment. You will encourage participants to make better lifestyle choices and help engage participants in healthy meaningful activities.
The overall responsibility of the Residential Care Worker is to promote a consistent and considered approach to the provision of direct care to young people who reside in residential care, ensuring individual needs are met. This is likely to involve everything from providing emotional support and crisis intervention, right through to maintaining a safe and welcoming home environment. By utilising your passion and commitment, you will interact therapeutically and positively with the young people, spending quality time with them, cooking meals, undertaking household duties and participating in daily general duties.
Our care homes operate on a 24/7 basis. As a result, successful applicants must be willing to work in the evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays.
