Mala’la Health Service is looking for an experienced person to deliver health promotion programs and activities that aim to reduce smoking harms through health education, community action and awareness campaigns in partnerships with key services in Maningrida.
We are looking for a Coordinator to:
- Deliver local health promotion activities that help increase knowledge and understanding about the dangers of smoking and the benefits of smoke-free homes and communities
- Develop Marketing, Promotions and Communications strategies that are culturally and locally relevant in various mediums, e.g. social media, community radio, workshops and community posters
- Develop stakeholder partnerships and work jointly towards Smoke-Free zones at workplaces, homes and public spaces
- Collect data and prepare reports on what has been delivered
You need to have:
- A commitment to reducing smoking in the community
- Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills in a cross-cultural context
- Experience in coordinating community events and activities
