Mangrove Housing is a client focused, dynamic and innovative community housing organisation which manages over 600 properties in the south east corner of Queensland, to support disadvantaged, vulnerable or low-income members of our community.
Mangrove Housing has two fully-owned for-profit subsidiary companies, Mangrove Maintenance & Cleaning and Mangrove Realty, plus a charity and fundraising project called The Forgotten Women.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is an integral member of the executive team for Mangrove Housing and its subsidiaries. They work closely with the CEO, Board and sub-committees to deliver business strategy and ensure strong financial governance. This is a hands-on role which manages and oversees finance, governance, payroll and facilities management.
Mangrove Housing and its subsidiaries employ around 40 staff members with a turnover of over $8M per annum. The CFO is responsible for the financial management of Mangrove Housing and its subsidiary companies. The role is central to providing strategic leadership for the organisation, corporate and financial governance. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO assists in developing and implementing strategies which position all Mangrove companies for growth and stability aligned with the future direction of the strategic plan.
The role works with, and develops relationships with, key internal and external stakeholders including Government, ensuring that Mangrove Housing and its subsidiaries meet all financial, legal, governance and legislative requirements.
The position reports to the CEO and has accountabilities to the Finance Committee. Direct reports include the Finance Team and the Office Manager (facilities management). The CFO is a member of the Finance Committee and the Business Development Committee.
