Marrickville Legal Centre offers free legal advice and assistance to the community of the inner-west, south-west, southern suburbs of Sydney, and beyond. There are 1.5 million people living in our key catchment: that’s 30 percent of Sydney’s total population.

The Communications & Marketing Officer will assist the work of Marrickville Legal Centre by enacting strategies that promote and publicise the work of the Centre. The Communications & Marketing Officer will also support with organising Centre events and community engagement work.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Sound judgment and outstanding analytical skills.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to produce concise and creative content.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required to build relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, supporters, and funders.
  • Experience managing webpages and social media accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Proactive and independent attitude and result oriented approach.
  • Flexible, adaptable, able to challenge the status quo, and the ability to work as a team to deliver the best possible outcome for the community.
