More about the role:

The Educator is responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of education and training to improve and enhance care outcomes for patients. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development and delivery of culturally safe education and training programs and initiatives using technology-rich teaching and learning materials
  • Delivering online and in-person education and training that meets the professional development needs of health professionals and McGrath team members
  • Working with clinical experts and any third-party providers to support development, structure and implementation of culturally safe content for the eLearning platform
  • Developing and sustain relationships with key stakeholders in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with a mix of the following experience and skills:

  • Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander heritage
  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and experiences
  • Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Very strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience working within education, clinical education or experience as an Aboriginal Health practitioner
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
