Are you passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based information to support Australian families? Join us at Raising Children Network as a Content Project Officer and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our award-winning resource for parents.
As a Project Officer within Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the content on the raisingchildren.net.au website. You will work closely with a dispersed team across MCRI and the Parenting Research Centre, and assist with content development, translation of scientific evidence, and stakeholder engagement.

About your new team

Raising Children Network (raisingchildren.net.au) is a leading, evidence-based resource funded by the Australian government. Overseen by a consortium of MCRI and the Parenting Research Centre (PRC), and guided by our Board of Directors, we are dedicated to providing up-to-date, parent-friendly information for Australian families. Our platform supports parents of babies, children, and adolescents with comprehensive resources on pregnancy, birth, and child development.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Content Currency: Contribute to the maintenance and updating of website content to ensure it remains current, evidence-based, and parent-friendly.
  • Evidence Synthesis: Assist in translating and synthesising scientific research into accessible content for the website.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key campus stakeholders and a network of experts involved in content development and review.
  • Project Coordination: Support the management of stakeholder feedback and coordinate various related projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Deadline Management: Handle tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet the high standards of the Raising Children Network.

What we need from you:

  • Strong experience in content development or project management, preferably within a research or digital content environment
  • Degree/Honours qualification in relevant field (e.g., psychology, public health)
  • Excellent skills in translating complex scientific information into clear, engaging content for a broad audience
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and feedback effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capability to work on multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with a dispersed team
