The opportunity:

Are you passionate about improving the lives of children and reducing inequities in childhood health and development? Do you have a strong background in project management, evaluation, and systems change? The Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH) invites applications for the position of Systems Impact Manager/Senior Project Coordinator within our Systems Impact team.

In this part time role you will lead the development and implementation of service development and evaluation projects that align with our mission. This position involves senior oversight of multiple projects, engagement with diverse stakeholders, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will work alongside senior management and contribute to strategic planning, ensuring the success of key initiatives and projects.

About your new team

Our Systems Impact focus is centred on All Children Thriving in the Early Years, working collaboratively with systems, services, families, and communities to redesign services, partner effectively, and take evidence-informed actions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Project Leadership: Manage multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, stay within budget, and achieve desired outcomes. Lead stakeholder management and contribute to strategic discussions at CCCH.
  • Grants & Funding: Attract funding for Systems Impact projects, write funding submissions, and develop opportunities to promote CCCH’s work and services.
  • Publications & Reporting: Oversee the production of technical and project reports, ensuring quality and timely submissions to government and funding bodies.
  • Training & Community Engagement: Facilitate community workshops and lead training sessions related to our work.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage staff, contribute to team and organisational development, and work collaboratively to lead the Systems Impact team.

What we need from you:

  • Honours/Masters/PhD qualification in a relevant field (e.g., public health, evaluation, early childhood education).
  • Extensive experience in research and/or evaluation, particularly in developing and implementing frameworks and evaluation methods.
  • Proven experience in systems change, quality improvement, and early years policy.
  • Strong project management experience, including budgeting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Track record of success in securing external competitive funding is desirable
