ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a 12 month, Fixed-Term Contract, Part Time role. The position is open to candidates based within commuting distance from Melbourne.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development of marketing and communications strategies and campaigns to inform, educate, inspire and engage AEF’s target audiences
  • Create compelling content for AEF’s digital platforms, including social media
  • Implement marketing and communications activities within the allocated budget
  • Assist in the preparation of collateral for energy education and advice program (e.g. promotional materials, branded merchandise)
  • Support activities to drive business development in collaboration with project teams
  • Utilise digital marketing analytics tools to measure, analyse and optimise marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all communications are consistent with AEF’s branding and build a credible voice

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Help demonstrate the value of taking up renewable energy and improving energy efficiency through creating content for public education campaigns and effective storytelling
  • Through the development of effective marketing material, help the various teams in AEF change people’s home lives by improving their home comfort, reducing their energy costs and carbon footprint

ON A TYPICAL WEEK, YOU MIGHT BE

  • Brainstorming for creative ways to generate interest in and engage target audiences on topics such as energy efficiency and renewable energy
  • Producing copy-writing for social media, website, newsletters, marketing collateral, etc
  • Managing AEF’s social media content calendar and platforms, ensuring that content is on-brand, timely and relevant to our target audiences
  • Working closely with internal project teams and providing marketing support for their activities

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Strong written communications and interpersonal skills
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude
  • An outstanding work ethic – working with discipline, commitment, dependability, and professionalism
  • Time management skills in planning, organising and prioritising tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience:
    • In communications and marketing (2 years or more), including marketing campaign design and delivery, content development, data management
    • With Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Suite including building and optimising digital advertising campaigns
    • In delivering projects and campaigns on time, on budget and to a high standard
  • A passion for or interest in environmental sustainability
  • Understanding of renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change and economic disadvantage (desirable but not essential)
  • Marketing and Communications qualifications
