Your new team:
Orygen Specialist Program, a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides mental health services to young people aged 12-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne's North West and Western suburbs.
Youth Access Team (YAT) provides a youth triage, assessment, community treatment and crisis intervention mental health care response to young people.
Your new role:
- Function autonomously as well as work collaboratively, to plan and develop services for these young people and their families/carers.
- Devise, implement and evaluate appropriate treatment plans - including clinical assessments, psychological treatments, home-based assertive outreach to facilitate engagement and case management tasks.
- Provide clinical supervision to a small number of clinicians.
- Establish and maintain effective interfaces and partnerships with key agencies and community groups through consultation, liaison, education and collaborative projects: including Drug and Alcohol services, Youth Justice and primary care providers.
- Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds.
About you:
- Experience working in early intervention in mental health, youth mental health teams, early psychosis programs, mental health triage and/or EMH / CATT / ECATT / PACER.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical practice within mental health, including
- Registration and qualifications in a relevant area of practice (see attached position description for details).
