Mental Health Community Coalition ACT

The Mental Health Community Coalition of the ACT (MHCC ACT) is the peak body representing the community managed mental health sector in the ACT. Our aim is to foster the capacity of the sector to deliver quality, sustainable, recovery-oriented services to support people with mental health issues and their carers.

MHCC ACT is funded by the ACT Government and works in partnership with Carers ACT and the ACT Mental Health Consumer Network to ensure that our work is informed by the needs of consumers and carers.

The MHCC ACT Board meets bi-monthly and has a vacancy for a voluntary Treasurer. Applications are invited from nominees who possess the following:

  • Financial expertise/experience
  • Legal expertise/experience
  • Human Resources expertise/experience
  • Business acumen

MHCC ACT encourages and welcomes Board Director nominations from people who identify as:

  • Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander from a culturally diverse background
  • LGBTQIA+
  • A person with disability or chronic health issue
  • Under the age of 35
