About Us
Mentis Assist is a leading not-for-profit Community Managed Mental Health Service (CMMHS) established in 1987. We specialise in supporting individuals with severe mental health conditions by delivering flexible, recovery-oriented services. Our mission is to enable people to lead meaningful lives by enhancing their health, independence, and social participation.
The CPS program will be delivered under a partnership agreement with Mentis Assist and Kindred Clubhouse.
What You'll Do
- Work within a new dedicated team committed to making a positive impact on the lives of people with mental health issues.
- Provide recovery focused, person-centred wellbeing services to individuals facing mental health and other complex challenges.
- Support client wellbeing by providing personalised assistance consistent with the defined goals and aspirations identified in individual recovery plans.
- Participate in a supportive and collaborative team environment, ensuring the highest standards of care.
About You
You are an enthusiastic team player who has -
- Demonstrated experience in mental health settings.
- Experience in developing client driven Individual Recovery Plans.
- Experience working with individuals with severe mental health conditions and other complex issues to meet their recovery goals.
Qualifications Required
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work (identify as having or had a lived experience of mental illness, used and accessed mental health services and demonstrated knowledge of recovery-orientated practice) or,
- Certificate IV in Mental Health.
- Higher qualifications (i.e. Diploma or Degree) in community services, alcohol and other drugs, or similar will be highly regarded.
Additional Requirements
- Compliance with National Employment Standards and relevant awards.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment screening checks.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Current valid driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Possibility of flexible work hours including weekend and evening shifts.
