About the role

We have a permanent full-time opportunity working within our Youth Wellbeing and Accommodation team as an Accommodation Case Worker.

This role will provide case management and tenancy support to clients 16-25 in our Young Parents Accommodation and 24/7 Youth Accommodation Service, the role includes practical tenancy support, life skills, referrals, advocacy, health and wellbeing and parenting support. You’ll also use a supportive landlord model to provide a strength-based approach to tenancy across our accommodation services for clients 16-75 years.

About you

You’ll have a passion for working with complex young people and their families and have a solid understanding of using evidence-based service models. Along with this you’ll also have:

  • Certificate IV in a relevant field is highly desired
  • Knowledge of the supportive landlord model and approach
  • Prior experience in areas such as income support, domestic violence, substance abuse and trauma
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current issues presented by homeless people or those at risk of homelessness
  • Demonstrated prior experience in a case worker position within the community sector
  • Working with Children Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
