About the role:

We are seeking an Instructor Training and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team for a fixed term 6 month parental leave cover. The successful candidate will manage the planning and delivery of MHFA Australia Instructor Training Courses (ITC’s) and events from end to end. An experienced events coordinator the incumbent will hit the ground running. Focused on supporting national events and initiatives you will coordinate tasks, before during and after events, manage logistics and stakeholder relationships, track timelines and report on progress. Delivering customer service excellence, multi-tasking and outcomes driven is essential.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  1. Coordinating course scheduling, venue bookings, participant communications and course delivery. 
  2. Monitoring incoming enquiries, ensuring timely responses.
  3. Working with internal stakeholders to ensure Public and Private ITCs are well executed, appropriately resourced, and delivered in accordance with Mental Health First Aid business requirements. 
  4. Researching and sourcing new training and event venues. Where needed, lead negotiations with venue vendors to remain within budget.

About you:

  • You will have demonstrated ability in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service with a minimum of 2 years of working in customer experience.
  • Highly organised with an exceptional ability to prioritise well, work under pressure, be adaptable, show initiative and deliver to deadlines. 
  • Good computer skills and literacy in Excel and Word essential, Salesforce experience highly regarded.
  • Good understanding of basic commercial concepts and ability to manage to a budget.
