About Mental Health First Aid International

Mental Health First Aid International (t/a MHFA Australia) is a global health promotion charity dedicated to the provision of evidence-based education programs that increase mental health literacy, reduce stigma, and help people develop the skills they need to encourage people to seek professional help.

We support a global movement across 30 countries of organisations dedicated to mental health literacy and early intervention to reduce the impact of psychological distress and mental health problems in families, communities, educational settings, and workplaces.

About the role:

This new role plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of quality systems across Mental Health First Aid globally while also delivering training across our courseware. With a strong background in quality management systems, you will support a program of continuous improvement, analysing data and trends to implement corrective actions. An adept communicator, you possess the ability to gain rapport and build trust, enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative environment and on multiple projects while achieving excellent results.

A skilled trainer the incumbent will deliver Mental Health First Training across a diverse range of audiences including corporate, government, education and community, online and face to face nationally and internationally. Facilitating a high standard of training across different delivery modes is essential.

About you:

  • You will have formal training and demonstrated experience in quality management system (ISO9001:2015) or equivalent and:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Quality or Education.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated experience in facilitating training (or similar), with a minimum of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • A willingness to travel to deliver training nationally and internationally approximately 10-15 weeks per year.
  • The ability to deliver mentoring to International Partners face to face internationally, or online.
  • The capacity to work under pressure, work on multiple initiatives simultaneously and be highly organised to deliver on outcomes within expected timeframes.
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
