Position Summary:
MIC seeks a skilled and creative Communications Officer to undertake a short-term assignment focused on enhancing our online presence. The role involves reviewing our current website and social media platforms, providing recommendations for improvements, and developing a comprehensive long-term communications strategy aligned with MIC’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a detailed review of MIC’s website and social media platforms to assess design, content, and functionality.
- Identify opportunities to optimise user engagement, accessibility, and content alignment with MIC’s target audiences.
- Develop a long-term communications strategy, including recommendations for website enhancements, social media growth, and content planning.
- Collaborate with the MIC team to ensure alignment with organisational goals and values.
- Provide a report with actionable recommendations and a framework for implementation.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in communications, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of website management, content strategy, and social media best practices.
- Ability to analyse and improve digital communication tools for diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear and accessible content.
- Familiarity with community organisations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion is desirable.
