We are seeking a detail orientated and motivated Accounts Officer to join our Finance team to cover for maternity leave for a period of 8 months with the contract ending in April 2025. The role is classified as SCHADS Level 3 and 0.6 fte to 0.8fte.

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, you will support Skylight teams through a range of finance and accounting duties including AP functions, preparing and posting journals, management and reconciliation of Budgetly, assistance with XERO reconciliations, Payroll and any other assistance as required.

The role will be based across Adelaide metro regions including Elizabeth and Central metropolitan.

Requirements for Success

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Bachelor's in Accounting/Commerce
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in Accounts Officer role or similar
  • Proficient in accounting software , ideally Xero
  • Organised and proactive with a can-do attitude
  • Experience with Payroll processes and working with Awards
  • Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with various stakeholders both within and outside the organisation
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic around teamwork
  • Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Current DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check.

We highly regard

  • Knowledge of SCHADS awards and Payroll experience
  • Pursuing or intending to pursue CPA or CA
  • Working with Microsoft suite of products
