headspace in partnership with Mind aims to promote and facilitate improvements in the mental health, social wellbeing and economic participation of young people aged 12-25 years residing in the Eastern suburbs. Services in this youth friendly space are delivered across four core streams - primary health care, mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD) and social/vocational to improve access for young people to mental health programs.
We are seeking motivated and energetic Community Engagement Practitioner for a permanent part time role working 22.8 hours a week in the Box Hill area. You will support the promotion the services provided the headspace centre, and help young people to get early access to health and other services.
As a Community Engagement Practitioner you will support enhance mental health literacy among youth, friends, families and communities. You will help plan develop and deliver group programs for young individuals across headspace Box Hill. The role will also play a key part in health promotion activities focusing on mental well-being and social interaction, as well as engagement activities for CALD, ATSI and LGBTQI youth.
