The Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (CMHWS) is a network of hubs designed to meet the increased need for immediate mental health. The hubs act as a ‘front door’ service to the mental health system where people can access services without eligibility criteria or a referrals. CMHWS support people of all ages experiencing psychological distress or mental ill health and offer a blend of face-to-face support in the community, in person, telehealth and online services. The service delivers wellbeing supports tailored to a client’s individual needs including early intervention, specialist referrals, and support for families and carers.
We are seeking an empathic, self-motivated Peer Practitioner to work within an innovative service in the Northern suburbs area. Working from home, you will utilise lived and living experience of mental ill health and recovery to deliver positive, person-centred recovery-orientated supports to clients to achieve their recovery goals, promote wellbeing and live safely within the community. As this position requires travel across the metropolitan area a fleet car or allowance is provided.
