Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Youth Psychosocial Support Package (YPSP) is a psychosocial program to support young people aged 16-24 years who have a mental illness, while living independently or in the family home. The service supports young people through the development of an Individualised Recovery Plan developed in partnership with the young person, their family and carers. The service will focus on supporting young people to increasingly participate in, and contribute to community, social, educational, vocational, employment and economic life.
We are seeking self-motivated, compassionate Peer Practitioners for casual opportunities to work alongside a caring team in the Perth Metro area. You will utilise your lived experience of mental ill health to engage young people through assertive outreach, coordinate wrap-around supports, and provide our clients with empathetic, positive support.
