We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Saint James Transitional Care Unit (TCU) is a residential service providing support to clients, aged between 18-64 years, experiencing mental health issues delivered in partnership with East Metro Health Service networks. The service is a recovery-focused and person-centred which is a fundamental shift away from treating symptoms to coaching people to develop a life with meaning and purpose for themselves. Clients will be focussing on individual recovery goals to support independent living, work and/or study.
We are seeking compassionate, resilient Peer Practitioners for casual opportunities to join a new team in the Victoria Park area. You will utilise your lived experience of mental ill health and recovery to provide clients empathetic, person-centred supports to enable a return to their community and live independently.
