About the role

The Business Intelligence (BI) business unit is responsible for key information management and delivery of high quality, timely data management, analytics and reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Partnering with the organisation, Business Intelligence maintains auditable records of information to demonstrate business compliance, prepares ongoing state and federal government statutory reporting, provides internal business reporting, supports dashboard requests, manages data analysis of customer information, delivers service performance data for stakeholders, coordinates performance reports for funders and supports submission of contractual obligations to meet business requirements.

We are seeking a high-performing, experienced Reporting Systems Analyst for a 1-year fixed term, full time opportunity to work at our new Central Office in the Richmond area. With work from home options, you will provide high quality data management and maintain auditable records, facilitate statutory, functional and technical reporting, coordinate service performance data and support submission of contractual obligations. This role will also support stakeholders with access to reliable accurate information, ensure data sources have undergone thorough Extract Transport Load (ETL) to the Data Warehouse, and monitor and manage system interfaces.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop operational and analytical reports, manage reporting processes and automated mechanisms, maintain auditable records, facilitate data management and provide business analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide data solutions, solve issues and create meaningful reporting analyses, dashboards and datasets.
  • Complete data extraction, preparation and analysis to facilitate statutory reporting, internal business reporting and service performance reports for funders.
  • Support development of the Power BI platform, manage data integrity and maintain the Data Warehouse.
  • Support stakeholders with advice, coaching and tools to enable access to data, utilisation of applications and guidance to ensure data accuracy.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Data Analytics and/or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
  • Significant demonstrated experience in a Business Analysis, Information Technology, Data Analytics or Project Management role.
  • Strong business analysis, data management and reporting skills with capability to interpret business requirements and translate into functional and technical reporting.
  • Proven stakeholder management, process improvement, strategic thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of BI systems, data servers and systems, technology platforms, applications support, dashboard reporting and analytical tools including SQL, Power BI, Dynamics 365, CDS, Tableau, CRM tools and TechnologyOne.
