Based in Meekatharra, the Crisis Support Worker is responsible for risk assessments, intake, safety planning, information sharing, and referrals to external services, informal counselling, advocacy, and detailed case notes.
We work in partnership with the Murchison Family Violence Coordinated Response Service, WA Police, the Department of Communities and other agencies, and in this position you will respond to referrals and offers support to families, particularly women & children at high risk, experiencing family violence in Meekatharra and the surrounding communities. We offer crisis accommodation for up to 72 hours to increase safety for our clients.
With a significant background in Community Services and/or Family Domestic Violence and/or Mental Health sectors, you will be confident in your assessment and case management processes. Other requirements include:
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
