Your Opportunity

Join our EPMO team as a full-time Project Officer, working across a variety of projects from construction to IT. In this role, you will elevate effectiveness and efficiency through meticulous reporting, seamless project plan implementation, streamlined administrative activities, optimised processes and practices, and meticulous key document management. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our projects and overall organisational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist in preparation and completion of governance reports and project status reports for Project Steering Committees and Portfolio Governance Forums. Meeting preparations and follow up, presentations, roadmaps, agendas, minutes, maintaining logs and registers
  • Input data to and assist in the development and maintenance of the EPMO project management recording system.
  • Coordinating input from all required contributors for reporting requirements
  • Suggesting, documenting, executing and embedding PMO process and practice improvements
  • Maintaining project calendars including key meetings, staff leave and key dates, following up on any actions, managing issues, and escalating where necessary
  • Applying Mission Australia methodologies and frameworks to ensure orderly and controlled projects
  • Manage the project portfolio communications schedule as required by the EPMO to ensure the right staff are receiving the right messages at the right time
  • Risk mitigation tracking and RAID tracking in streams
  • Assist in executing project templates and schedule training for wider Mission Australia staff

Requirements for Success

  • A minimum of 3 years working across complex business projects
  • Results oriented with ability to deliver results in a controlled and effective manner while consistently moving within Mission Australia's values
  • Proven track record in project coordination
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain focused under pressure
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Intermediate competency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs including project, Outlook, Teams (SharePoint), PowerPoint
  • Advanced competency in Excel and Word
  • Experience in ServiceNow reporting is desirable
