Your Opportunity

Join our team as a Senior Commercial Analyst at Mission Australia, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our national Housing operations. This position will focus on steering the financial aspects of large capital works during construction and asset delivery phases. You will leverage your Commercial Analyst and Project Accounting expertise to guide our business decisions through accurate and timely information.

In this role, you'll delve deep into the financial mechanics of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV), capital expenditure, and debt covenant compliance, offering critical insights that drive our strategic direction. Your strong analytical skills will be crucial for financial modelling and analysis, identifying growth and development opportunities, and maintaining rigorous financial reporting aligned with our models and budgets.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Project Accounting for a large self-development and developer led capital construction Housing projects.
• Ensure financial lens over cost and cashflow projections for Project Managers.
• Analytical support and Project reporting for Steer Co., SPV Boards, and Debt and sub-debt providers.
• Delivery management, enabling effective understanding of financial performance, modelling scenarios and preparing forecasts.
• Benchmark the performance of Housing, drawing on metrics and experience from industry associations.
• Month end close activities; including reporting, overseeing the BAS preparation and submission for SPV's.
• Review and improve the reporting format on a regular basis to ensure continued relevance.
• Provide training to relevant stakeholders and customers.
• Develop, manage and update a range of driver-based models for the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements for Success

• Must be CA or CPA qualified.
• A Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or relevant business field.
• Demonstrated Financial Modelling and Analysis skills and experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial model and reports development.
• Experience in using Workday Adaptive Planning and Microsoft Dynamics OPS365 is highly desirable.
