ABOUT MMAD

MMAD is an Australian charity that transforms young lives through music. Our purpose is to inspire young people to make positive choices so they can find their place in the world. Every young person deserves someone who believes in them and the opportunity to live their potential.

We provide creative support to young people, especially those who have suffered emotional abuse, neglect and disadvantage in overcoming challenges such as homelessness, destructive patterns of behaviour, exclusion from school, family breakdown, drug and alcohol dependency, unemployment and reoffending. Our aim is not only to help our young people to break negative cycles, we strive to empower young people to go on and make their own difference within the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Fundraising and Marketing Project Coordinator with heart and spark to support our mission to transform young lives through music. Working closely with the CEO you will turn your attention to a variety of fundraising and marketing initiatives through the year from coordinating meaningful and impactful partnerships, project managing our national MMAD Day campaign, levelling-up our social media presence, turning up the heat on our annual fundraising initiative, and driving meaningful community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Grow fundraising through existing channels, including partnerships, events, individual giving, and grants.
  • Coordinate relationships with national and local partners.
  • Deliver reports, presentations and pitches to donors and partners.
  • Collaboratively develop and coordinate annual fundraising initiative.
  • Project manage annual MMAD Day awareness campaign in collaboration with national partners and broader MMAD team.
  • Ensure MMAD’s social media presence is on point, including audience and channel strategies, content plans, and content development.
  • Coordinate local area marketing and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with program and operations teams to support overall charity strategy and mission.
  • Work within given budgets and timelines.

You must have excellent organisational, time management and communication skills, and a passion for supporting vulnerable young people. You will thrive when given freedom and independence to deliver your work, while also being able to collaborate closely with our innovative and fun team.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, fundraising or related fields preferred
  • Experienced relationship manager
  • Experience in fundraising and/or marketing including event management
  • Strong time management skills
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check.
