Working in the community sector with complex clients requires sound physical and psychological fitness. Community sector work carries a likelihood of staff exposure to acute or prolonged stress due to the inherent nature of the roles - particularly considering the levels of ongoing and intergenerational trauma carried by First Nations communities. We do not recommend this work as suitable for candidates whose life experience includes significant personal loss, severe traumatic victimisation or serious mental illness.
Employment will be subject to a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, pre-employment medical check and psychological screening.
