Montefiore has a wonderful opportunity for an experienced leader to join the Residential Aged Care team in the position of General Manager Residential Care. 

Reporting to the Director of Quality & Clinical Governance, you will be responsible in overseeing the delivery of residential nursing services across our eight residential care units in Sydney. You will be strategic and inspiring in your approach to lead your team to perform and grow.

The role includes:

  • Providing oversight, guidance, and leadership to our experienced Executive Care Managers and their teams.
  • Maintaining a high level of care and compliance. 
  • Actively promoting and role-modelling Montefiore’s values.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the Aged Care standards, improving clinical indicators and business performance targets. 
  • Overseeing the financial performance and planning of designated Residential Care units.  

About You

You are an experienced Registered Nurse who can lead proactively and mentor high-performing teams. You will have an understanding and appreciation of the Jewish culture, be consumer focused with high levels of emotional intelligence and people management skills.

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a senior leadership capacity across a multidisciplinary care team.
  • A current and unrestricted qualification as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of operating principles, practices, and processes in relation to care services, ideally in an Aged Care environment. 
  • Strong commercial acumen including working with operational budgets and financial management.
  • Positive leadership skills along with effective communication skills, and strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead a team through Aged Care Quality standards.
