The Opportunity

This position will see you leading, supervising and guiding educational programs and staff to ensure the effective day to day operation of Council's Childcare Services. You will take responsibility in ensuring that appropriate systems, processes and programs are implemented and are reviewed to ensure the successful delivery of professional programs.

Reporting directly to the Childcare Centre Coordinator, you will work in collaboration with the team to plan and implement play-based programs that meet the individual developmental strengths, interests and needs of each child in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Skills & Experience

• Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011;
• Demonstrated ability to support and guide staff to ensure all policies, practices and legislative requirements are met;
• Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, related legislation and National Quality Standards;
• Understanding of Victoria's Child Safe Standards and how educators apply them in daily practice; and
• Hold a current and valid; Working With Children Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates.
