Mordialloc Neighborhood House (MNH) is an incorporated, not for profit organisation run by a committee of governance, with a membership drawn from a wide cross section of the local community and nearby suburbs.

Purpose of the Role:

The Program Co-ordinator will play a vital role in the development and co-ordination of the life cycle of the programs, activities and events hosted by the house. Working closely with the House Manager and office team, this role is for 10 hours a week and requires the co-ordination from initial planning, to delivery, support and review, community consultation, and marketing the effective delivery of

We're looking for someone with:

  • A qualification in a relevant field or working towards one eg Community Development, Community Services, or experience in a community-based setting, such as recreation programming, community development or adult education field
  • Excellent working knowledge of childhood development, learning and engagement within best-practice frameworks including Child Safe Standards
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating group/community programs.
  • Excellent written communication skills including the development of marketing and communications plans, program design and review and experience in communicating in print and electronic media including social media and website content.
  • Demonstrated organisational abilities, time management skills, administrative and computer skills to manage the program in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively and build collaborative relationships with others including colleagues, students, staff at all levels, volunteers and other professionals and community members
  • A flexible and ‘can do’ attitude to work, with the ability to work in a very busy open office environment and balance their own work with meeting the needs of the community and public
  • Driver’s License
