Mosaic Life Care Limited (MLC) is the charity arm of Mosaic Baptist Church in Canberra. Our benevolent programs focus on connecting volunteers from faith communities with opportunities to be 'salt and light'. Specifically, we focus on addressing the challenge of social isolation and loneliness.
Experience/Qualifications:
Essential
- Experience in the delivery of an established program
- Have experience working in the psychological and/or social welfare sector
- Project management experience
- Academic qualifications in an applicable field
Desirable
- Management, coaching or supervision qualifications
- Church ministry experience
- Train the trainer qualification or suitable experience in the provision of training or education
- Public speaking experience
- Social enterprise experience
Knowledge:
- Managing and supervising people in the caring sector
- Knowledge of the theories and practice of social work and community ministry
- Understanding fundraising processes in the welfare sector
- Knowledge in volunteer training and mobilisation
Skills:
- Networking
- Management skills
- Pastoral skills
- Proficient (end-user) IT skills (e.g. word processing, email, client database, etc)
Attributes/Qualities:
- Have demonstrated compassion for the poor and needy in Australia
- Natural alignment with the values, mission and vision of Mosaic Baptist Church
- Demonstrated ability to care for and draw the best from staff and volunteers
Prior to commencement, successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police check and must register to work with vulnerable people as regulated by the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
In addition, successful candidates must commit to comply with all Safe Church practices set out by the Baptist Association of NSW/ACT and Mosaic Baptist Church.
