Monash Student Association (MSA) is a student organisation run by students and staff for students; it provides support and opportunities to Monash University Clayton campus students.
MSA has a fixed-term 12-month contract position for a Volunteer Events and Administration Officer. The contract will be until March 2021.
The position is responsible for assisting the Volunteer Coordinator with administrative tasks and the organisational functions of special programs. This includes upkeep of MSA Volunteer Programs, as well as recruitment of volunteers and the organisation of volunteer rosters.
This role is also responsible for organising volunteers during MSA events and includes attendance at MSA Orientation Camps (which takes place bi-annually over a weekend in February and July), to ensure appropriate behaviour of attendees and to report any concerns or issues to the Volunteer Coordinator or relevant authorities, and the organisational and event coordinating aspects of MSA Trips, tourist-style day activities.
The successful applicant will need event management experience, experience working with volunteers and preferably, experience working with university students or student associations. It will require excellent organisational skills to maintain the reporting requirements of this role. This role will include attending all MSA orientation events, orientation camps, and some occasional weeknight and weekend work.
This role is four-days per week, based on the Clayton Campus of Monash University and the successful candidate will be employed at Student Union Employee (SUE) level 3, $71,472 pro rata (equates to $57,177.60 per annum).
