MS Queensland is excited to announce we are taking the lead role of delivering the iconic MS Readathon from 2024. In this newly created role, the National Campaign Manager will lead the strategic development and turn that into reality managing the execution of the national fundraising campaign, MS Readathon.

This role reports to the General Manager Supporter Impact and will be part of the Supporter Impact team providing exceptional experiences for donors and supporters, fostering trust and loyalty in line with MS Queensland's Best at Thank you strategy.

The Role:

Nationwide Impact:

  • Develop and implement a national MS Readathon strategy and operational plan including managing income and expenditure budgets.
  • Manage relationship with external consultants/agencies to support the delivery of the campaign.
  • Drive creative aspects, fundraising and recruitment strategies, project management, and supporter communications.

Digital Experience: Utilise technology to enhance supporter engagement, creating an online space that engages and connects with people and reduces barriers to fundraise.

Journey Curator: Map out multi-channel highly engaging donor journeys at scale, identifying touchpoints for personalisation and connection. Your goal is to make every step of the donor experience intentional and memorable.

Innovation and Creativity: Develop groundbreaking campaign strategies that captivate hearts and minds.

Collaboration: Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including other MS member states, consultants, fundraising agencies and suppliers.

Project Management: Responsible for managing, monitoring and evaluating MS Readathon including the day-to-day project and stakeholder management.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to track performance, measure impact, and refine your approach for maximum effectiveness.

About You:

  • You have a positive energy, passion and can show initiative.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative edge – you don’t just follow trends you set them.
  • Have a solid understanding of and experience in the digital landscape, and the ability to engage and connect with supporters online in a relevant and holistic way to build brand loyalty and influence.
  • Proven experience (5 years minimum) in developing and managing fundraising programs and campaigns.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills for cross-functional engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills – you can understand and use data to optimise results.
  • Evidence-based critical approach to decisions/fundraising strategy.
  • A creative mind with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

MS Queensland is the Queensland-focused arm of the larger MS group of organisations. We leverage this national position as the MS experts and apply it to a specific focus on Queenslanders.

MS Queensland hold a number of iconic charity events such as the MS Brissie to the Bay, MS Moonlight Walk and MS Swimathons across Queensland to help raise critical funds needed for vital services and support for the 5000+ people living with MS and help power research into treatment and ultimately a cure.
