  • Position: Part-Time Neurological Liaison Nurse
  • Hours: 60 hours per fortnight
  • Duration: 12 months fixed term
  • Location: Butler Services Centre (with travel in the community required)

Role Overview:

In this role, you’ll be an integral part of our nursing team, managing a diverse caseload of clients who need both low and high-care support. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, create care plans, and provide a range of nursing services, including continence management, wound care, palliative care, and catheter care. You’ll also facilitate referrals to other health services and work closely with MSWA’s Allied Health teams to ensure the highest level of care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans.
  • Provide direct nursing services and clinical care.
  • Facilitate referrals to other necessary health services.
  • Collaborate with MSWA’s Allied Health teams.
  • Travel to clients’ homes within the community (pool cars available, or mileage reimbursement for personal vehicles).

What We’re Looking For:

  • AHPRA Registered
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full C Class driver’s licence with no restrictions.
  • Working with Children Check.

Nice to haves:

  • Community nursing experience.
  • Background in neurological conditions or rehabilitation nursing.
  • Knowledge of Disability Services Legislation and NDIS.
  • Experience in palliative care, continence, and wound management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and computer literacy.
