Philanthropy Manager

MSWA

At MSWA, our purpose is to empower Western Australians with neurological conditions to live their best lives.

As the Philanthropy Manager you will join the newly created Philanthropy, Partnerships & Events team focused on building a significant and sustainable income stream through the development and implementation of a range of fundraising programs.

This exciting new position will lead the development of MSWA's individual giving program, laying the groundwork required to establish the program over the coming two years. Initially, the role will work on scoping, development, approval, and implementation of a giving program in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, with input from the Chief Marketing Officer and senior representatives of MSWA, as required.

Here’s what you’ll do…

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement a giving strategy.
  • Create and execute an annual plan for appeals, regular giving, major giving, and bequests.
  • Lead data analytics and conduct prospect research.
  • Initiate and prioritise prospect engagement.
  • Maintain a 'moves management' system in Salesforce for tracking donor interactions.
  • Coordinate donor development activities and communications.
  • Engage with donor prospects to advance relationships.
  • Mobilise senior resources to engage with prospects as part of the strategy.
  • Lead or support donation solicitation aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Develop and manage a donor recognition plan.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts for individual giving programs.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to support MSWA brand and community objectives.

To succeed in this role, you should be well-connected and have experience in a similar position. You’ll need to be a results-driven individual who excels at building supporter engagement and fostering genuine relationships with donors. A strong passion for making a meaningful impact and excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to guide supporters through the donor journey toward making a donation. You will be crucial in helping the Philanthropy, Partnerships & Events team achieve and surpass its targets.
If you are a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) that will certainly give you the edge!

And the benefits?

As a not-for-profit organisation we are fortunate to be able to offer generous salary packaging options to all our employees. Currently up to $18,500 can be packaged to cover things like living expenses, mortgage payments, or car leasing – this means you pay less tax on your income!

We also offer generous leave policies, discounts on major retailers and an opportunity to do (what we think is) challenging and rewarding work every day. But above all you will be a part of our purpose at MSWA to empower Western Australians living with neurological conditions to live their best life.
