Role Responsibilities

  1. Fortnightly payroll processing from department summaries of hours/dollar values as per the payroll processing checklist.
  2. Fortnightly payroll processing from authorised timesheet as per payroll check list as per the payroll processing checklist.
  3. Processing of approved adjustments, leave applications and sick leave notification.
  4. Checking and filing of payroll period, month end and year end reports.
  5. Maintenance of payroll database as per approved Payroll Notification, Super & Banking Details, and/or change of address forms and Salary Package confirmations.
  6. Maintenance of leave entitlements for all staff.
  7. Reconciliation of monthly Superannuation reports, create & upload files to the relevant superannuation organisation (ESuper) and remit required monies to approved Superannuation Funds.
  8. Maintenance of Superannuation fund membership in liaison with relevant Fund administration.
  9. Reconciliation of payroll clearing, liability and expense accounts on a monthly basis;
  10. Reconciliation of end of year reports with Finance Department and preparation of annual Group Certificates/Pay Summaries.
  11. Answer staff general enquiries regarding pay issues.
  12. Address requests from Centrelink, Child Support Agency, Housing Commission and other relevant Government Departments regarding employee requirements.
  13. Other relevant duties as requested.

About You

Previous experience in high volume payroll processing position;

  1. Previous experience interpreting awards;
  2. High level knowledge of payroll computer software program(s);
  3. Sound knowledge of MS Office suite of programs, including, Excel, Word and Outlook
  4. High level numeracy and literacy skills

Mandatory requirement

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a positive notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue card) and National Criminal History check. You must also have NDIS Worker Orientation certificate completed and please login to https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/ if you haven't obtained the certificate already.

Salary sacrifice + Meal entertainment

Attractive Salary packaging including $15,900 packaging limit per FBT year (1 April- 31 March) and $2,550 per year for meals and entertainment expenses.
