Multicultural Care is a not-for-profit, secular, community organisation, specialising in in-home and community-based support services for elderly people, people who live with disability, and their carers, from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Multicultural Care's consumers and participants are from many diverse cultures and social backgrounds. Multicultural Care’s primary considerations when providing safe, inclusive, and quality care are ensuring all people are treated with respect and that their privacy, health, wellbeing, and cultural/linguistic needs are addressed.

Skills, Experience and Competencies required to fill this vacancy include:

• Certified Public Accountant certifications
• At least 10 years’ experience in the finance industry
• Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting control, and reporting
• A commitment to and understanding of Multicultural Care’s target communities, preferably based on experience
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to guide and review strategy
• Demonstrated understanding of the external environment relevant to the aged care and/or disability sectors
• Ability to advocate and influence change and engage effectively with key stakeholders including State and Federal governments
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for making a difference for Multicultural Care’s targeted communities
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
• Demonstrated commitment to the industry with a passion for Multicultural Care’s vision is essential.
• Graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course or equivalent highly desirable.
