Multicultural Community Development Program Officer

Inclusive and Diverse Communities Incorporated
  • Part time, 4 days per week

Inclusive and Diverse Communities Inc (IDC) is a secular, not-for-profit organisation committed to inclusion, access, diversity and intersectionality.

The MCDP Officer will be a TEI specialist relating to children aged 0-12 years, parents/carers, and families from multicultural or CaLD backgrounds living in Southwest Sydney areas (Bankstown, Fairfield and Liverpool).

The right person will draw on their substantial experience in community development, program coordination and/or project management and working with diverse, intersectional communities who are experiencing multiple disadvantage.

As a Grade 5 position with above SCHADS Award conditions, IDC is looking for an independent, innovative, self-initiator who can successfully develop, review, implement and evaluate an Annual Work Plan, adhere to funding agreement, apply program logic, and dutifully meet DEX reporting requirements.

The MCDP Officer co-convenes a CaLD specialist interagency, builds and expands on a flourishing network of community partners and allies, coordinates community events and activities, and uses an outcomes measurement approach rather than just focusing on outputs.

Being part of a small, diverse team of professionals, the right person will be a great team player & easily fit in, ready to help out outside of their program scope, and be accountable to the Manager.

Workdays and Hours- the MCDP Officer will be required to work from Tuesdays to Fridays. The successful candidate may be able to negotiate hours (must be a minimum of 21 hrs/week). This is a fixed term part time contract ending on 30 June 2024, and subject to renewal of funding from NSW Communities & Justice.
