An exciting opportunity exists a to join our Alice Springs Civil Law team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Managing Civil Solicitor to oversee the efficient and effective management and administration of the Alice Springs Civil Law practice
  • Support the Managing Civil Solicitor to supervise lawyers and oversee the conduct of complex civil law matters
  • Lead one of the NAAJA Civil Law core practice groups including leading practise supervision, resource development and strategic thinking
  • Work collaboratively with the other NAAJA Civil Law offices
  • Undertake responsibilities of the Managing Civil Solicitor in their absence and as delegated
  • Advise and represent NAAJA clients in civil law matters

The right candidate will have

  • Eligibility for Admission as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory with at least 5 years practice experience
  • Ability to undertake and supervise civil law litigation and casework
  • Excellent communication skills, including in cross-cultural settings
  • Applicants with police and prison accountability experience encouraged to apply

  • Salary of CiLO4.1 $98,455 – CiLO4.4 $107,961 per annum (dependent on experience) plus superannuation
