Position Details

• x1 Full Time Permanent Position or x2 Part Time (0.6 FTE) Permanent Positions
• Classification: Health Professional and Supports Services Award Level 3 with salary range of : $110,418 - $125,555 or Registered Nurse Level3 $121,247 - $127,866 per annum, pro-rata + Superannuation
• Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year

About your new role

The Clinical Lead will provide support to address the clinical needs of consumers referred to the service following a suicide attempt or presentation in suicidal crisis, while they are simultaneously supported through the psychosocial, care-coordination arm of the service.

The Clinical Lead will draw on clinical skills to engage with consumers, the consumer's support team which may include other clinicians and specialists, Neami Community Care Coordinators and Lived Experience-Community Care Coordinators, the consumer's family, friends and carers to provide high quality evidence-based interventions to improve overall wellbeing and safety for consumers.

What you will bring to the role

• Formal tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing, or a related field
• Current full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) essential, or full membership as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Clinical expertise and significant experience providing therapeutic clinical interventions to people experiencing suicidal distress following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis and deliberate self-harm.
• Sound understanding of the personal, family, and social factors associated with suicidal ideation and attempts
• Demonstrated experience working with cultural and community groups known to be at higher risk of suicide (e.g. males, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. LGBTQIA+ community, people who identify as CALD, youth)

• National Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
• Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
• Current Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Psychologist AHPRA registration or current AASW Mental Health Accreditation for Social Workers
• Current Australian drivers licence
• Australian working rights
