Position details

  • Full Time or Part Time (0.6-1FTE), Maximum Term Contract until 31 December 2024 Long Term Cover
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 4 with a salary range of $82,123 - $88,367 per annum pro rata+ Superannuation.
  • Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year.
  • Location: Edwardstown, SA, however remote or hybrid working arrangements will be considered.

About your new role

The Intake and Assessment Officers (IAO) will support the triage and assessment of referrals to Wellness Connect. The IAO will provide initial identification and assessment of individuals' needs, as well as assist people requiring information about mental health challenges and appropriate services. The officer will have responsibility for undertaking an assessment using the Commonwealth's Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST), and work closely with the clinicians within the team to determine the level of need, and appropriateness for Wellness Connect.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse range of people.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health intake, assessment and supporting consumers with presenting mental health concerns.
  • Engage consumers, using a strengths-based approach.
  • Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection.
