• Full-Time Permanent
• Classification: Registered Nurse Level 2 with a salary range of $93,168 - $97,891 or Health Professional Level 2 with a salary range of $88,406- $98,899 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

As a MHCSC, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team who delivering high-quality mental health intake, assessment, triage, and referral services for individuals in the community who experience mental health issues and are seeking support. The priority of the HtH IAR Service is to connect people seamlessly to the most appropriate local service to meet their identified needs, consistent with the 'stepped care' approach.

MHCSC will provide an initial identification and assessment of individuals' needs, as well as assist people requiring general information.

MHCSC will have responsibility for undertaking an assessment using the Commonwealth's Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) and supporting the non-clinical team to determine the level of clinical oversight, and key decisions required in matching people with the appropriate support service.

What you will bring to the role

• The MHCSC will be either a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency essential, or a Social Worker with Australian Association of Social Worker (AASW) membership
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health assessment and supporting consumers with presenting mental health concerns
• Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection
• Demonstrates integrity and credibility, and fosters open honest communication
• Demonstrates commitment to the organisation and its values
• Adapts to the team and contributes to a positive team dynamic
