About your new role

As an Allied Health Professional, you will draw on your discipline specific skills, to provide high quality quality interventions aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing outcomes for consumers accessing the AMHC. The Allied Health Professional role will have a focus on clinical assessment, collaborative care planning and navigating consumers to access holistic and integrated care.

You will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team that includes clinical staff and psycho-social, staff and will work closely with the AMHC's leadership team to support and maintain a positive culture, to motivate high performance and to support continuous quality improvement.

What you will bring to the role

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will have registration with the relevant accreditation body in your field. It is a responsibility of the incumbent to maintain all registrations requirements with the appropriate registration authority with continuing professional development

  • Social Worker - It is a mandatory requirement that the candidate is eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and that the candidate does not have any other outstanding professional competency or ethical issues, or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership to the association. Current Accredited Mental Health Social Work endorsement with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) would be highly desirable.
  • Psychologist - Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. It is desirable but not essential that the candidate has previous experience in mental health practice.
  • Occupational Therapist - Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
