The Port Pirie Medicare Mental Health Centre offers a trans-disciplinary approach in supporting people. Peer Support Workers and clinical staff collaborate to come alongside guests and make sense of what is important in responding to needs and connecting in the community.
Mental Health Clinicans come alongside guests in offering needs assessments and interventions using different discipline skills, to support mental health outcomes for guests accessing the service.
Mental Health Clinicians offer short to medium term supports in supporting the guest transition from the satellite service to holistic and integrated care in the community. This support will include clinical needs assessment, collaborative care planning and group facilitation where required.
Mental Health Clinician will have registration with the relevant accreditation body in the discipline field.
It is a responsibility of Mental Health Clinicians to maintain all registration requirements and continuing professional development as below:
