  • 2 x Part-Time Permanent positions (0.6 FTE)
  • Classification: Registered Nurse Level 2 with salary range of $96,705 - $101,566 per annum (pro rata) + Superannuation or Health Professional Level 2 with a salary range of $91,706 - $102,613 per annum (pro rata) + Superannuation
  • Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year

About your new role

As an Allied Health Professional or Mental Health Nurse, you will draw on your discipline specific skills, to provide high quality interventions aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing outcomes for consumers accessing the Living and Learning Centre. The Mental Health Clinician role will have a focus on clinical assessment, provision of relevant evidence-based interventions (within practice scope) and collaborative care coordination.

You will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team that includes other clinicians, wellbeing coaches and peer wellbeing coaches (psychosocial team). You will also work closely with the site leadership team to support and maintain a positive culture, to deliver high quality service and to support continuous quality improvement. The Mental Health Clinician will have the opportunity to engage in regular reflective practice, access training and professional develop session with the Clinical Lead.

What you will bring to the role

Essential:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
  • Current full registration as a Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) essential or Current full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) essential, orfull registration as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

Desirable

  • A strong understanding of supporting people experiencing emotional distress through their recovery journey; and an ability to articulate and promote the value of and strengths gained from lived experiences of recovery.
  • Ability to role-model and develop recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices across the service.
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility, and ability to foster open communication.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced, changing, and dynamic environment.
