  • Full Time, Permanent Position
  • Classification: Senior Management Remuneration Level 2 with a salary range of $168,000-$181,002 per annum + Superannuation
  • Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year
  • Location: Head Office, however remote or hybrid working arrangements will be considered

About your new role

The National Lived Experience Practice Lead (NLEPL) is a new leadership position, a part of Neami's commitment to centring lived and living experience perspectives and ways of working at the centre of our approach. The role is a key member of Neami's Service Excellence Hub (SEH) working alongside the National Practice Lead (NPL) and the National Lead Quality and Consumer Experience (NLQCE).

The position is responsible for lived experience practice, workforce development, continuous improvement and transdisciplinary practice. The SEH sits within Neami's Operations Networks and works cross functionally with other support network functions. The purpose of the SEH is to be a central point of coordination that mobilises Neami's resources and expertise to guide practice and empower teams to deliver high quality, safe and inclusive services that better support consumers to achieve their outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

  • Have a personal lived or living experience of significant, life-changing mental health distress, challenges and wellbeing journey and a demonstrated ability to articulate and apply learnings to inform a practice approach.
  • At least five years of Lived Experience practice and demonstrated experience in roles where Lived Experience expertise and perspectives are the primary source of knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, leading and supporting lived experience practice at an organisational level, including understanding the challenges of implementing these within a mainstream mental health organisation.
  • Proven experience in leading the design and delivery of projects, strategic activity, and innovative initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the dynamics of power and pathways for authentic Lived Experience workforce and consumer participation.
