Werribee River Association is dedicated to environmental sustainability and is looking for a General Manager to lead and support a committed team, drive strategy, manage daily operations, and build strong partnerships and community engagement.

• Senior role of organisation reporting directly to to Board
• Pay rate: SCHADS SACS Level 7: 30.4 hours/4 days per week (around $90K per annum + superannuation) or 38 hours/5 days per week (around $115K per annum + superannuation)
• Werribee Location/ Hybrid Working Arrangements

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Board, the General Manager plays a crucial role in advancing the organisation’s objectives by providing leadership and support to the staff and collaborating closely with the Board, stakeholders, and the broader community to ensure that the organisation's goals and strategic priorities are effectively achieved.

About you:

• Proven leadership experience in a not-for-profit or community-based organisation.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership.
• Excellent communicator with experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and knowledge of conservation science, land management, and environmental policies.

What you will do:

• Lead and inspire a dedicated team.
• Shape strategic plans, initiate and drive projects and partnerships.
• Oversee operations, financials, and compliance.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Co-ordinate, resource and support the Board.
