About the National Indigenous Employment and Training Alliance (The Alliance)

The Alliance is a newly formed industry membership body, uniting Indigenous employment and training businesses across urban, regional, and remote Australia. Created by and for Indigenous people, The Alliance is driven by a vision of a world where Indigenous people are self-reliant, valued, and enjoy economic prosperity. Our mission is to revolutionise the employment landscape by empowering the Indigenous employment and training sector. At The Alliance, our purpose is to support the growth and impact of this sector, contributing to closing the gap in employment and training outcomes.

As an early-stage, fast-evolving organisation, we need someone who is not only passionate about our mission but also adaptable and versatile enough to grow with us.

The Role:

We’re seeking a strategic yet hands-on Head of Marketing & Partnerships to drive our marketing and partnerships efforts. You’ll play a pivotal role in building our brand, forging strong partnerships, and delivering content that resonates with our mission and purpose. This role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of The Alliance as we expand our impact.

If you thrive in a start-up environment, connect deeply with purpose, and can craft compelling narratives, we want to hear from you. While experience in event management and design is a plus, it's your ability to adapt, strategise, and communicate our vision that will make you stand out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead The Alliance’s brand strategy to enhance our public presence and equity.
  • Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners, donors, community groups, and media.
  • Lead fundraising and sponsorship campaigns, securing vital support for our mission.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging, high-quality content, ensuring storytelling is at the heart of all our communications.
  • Manage The Alliance’s digital presence, driving impactful engagement across our website and social media.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver key projects like annual reports, major events, and advocacy campaigns that reflect our mission.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to optimise marketing initiatives and measure effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years in marketing, communications, or partnerships roles.
  • Proven experience building brands and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • A passion for storytelling and creating content that connects with diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
  • Experience in event management and design is a plus but not essential.
  • Cultural competence and a strong commitment to advancing the economic interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Indigenous candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for this position.

Why Join Us?

At The Alliance, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team working towards a future where Indigenous people achieve economic prosperity through employment and training. Join us at this exciting time, as we work together to close the gap and create lasting impact. We offer a flexible, collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions will shape the future of the organisation.
