About the National Indigenous Employment and Training Alliance (The Alliance)

The National Indigenous Employment and Training Alliance (The Alliance) is a newly formed industry membership body, uniting Indigenous employment and training businesses across urban, regional, and remote Australia. Created by and for Indigenous people, The Alliance is driven by a vision of a world where Indigenous people are self-reliant, valued, and enjoy economic prosperity. Our mission is to empower the Indigenous employment and training sector, contributing to closing the gap in employment and training outcomes.

As an early-stage, fast-growing organisation, we need someone who is not only passionate about our mission but also adaptable, versatile, and organised to help set the foundation for future growth.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Member Engagement Coordinator to support and build strong relationships with our member organisations. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our members, providing high-quality service, and fostering strong engagement.

You will be the first point of contact for member inquiries, coordinate engagement activities, and help set up processes as our organisation continues to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a start-up environment, has strong customer service skills, and is willing to pitch in and help build efficient systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver member engagement activities and initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Assist with executing strategies to enhance member satisfaction and drive membership growth.
  • Collaborate across teams to document and improve member services.
  • Support the broader team with operational tasks that align with organisational goals.
  • Contribute to systems and process development to ensure smooth member experiences as we grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years in a customer service or member support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
  • Organisational skills with a proactive approach to improving processes and creating efficiencies.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience working in a member-based organisation is a plus.
  • Cultural competence and a commitment to advancing the economic interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Indigenous candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for this position.

Why Join Us?

At The Alliance, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team working to create a future where Indigenous people achieve economic prosperity through employment and training. As we grow rapidly, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the way we engage with our members and support their success. We offer a flexible, collaborative environment where your ideas will help set the foundation for the future of the organisation.
