Nightlife Disability Services Inc. (Nightlife) is a not-for-profit association and is a registered and accredited NDIS provider.

Nightlife aims to be a service that liberates and makes an ‘every day’ life possible for people with disabilities, older people who require physical support and people with a life limiting illness. It enables people to live as independently as possible in their own homes and enjoy an inclusive lifestyle.

Nightlife is a specialist provider of 24/7 supports. Our innovative and award winning mobile night support team offer services across the CBD, Eastern and Southern Bayside. Our skilled staff work alongside a broad range of partners including palliative care teams to ensure people can stay at home and plan with their families and supporters.

Nightlife is proudly consumer-driven. As a board member you will govern alongside people with disabilities, and their families and carers, to safeguard its philosophies and principles and ensure it stays true to its intent.

The key functions of the BOARD include:

  • Monitoring strategic and operational plans,
  • Supporting the CEO to oversee high quality and effective service,
  • Developing, reviewing and ensuring the implementation of Nightlife’s policies and procedures,
  • Financial accountability including the development and effective management of the annual budget,
  • Supporting business planning, risk planning and financial sustainability

Meetings of the full Board are held every second month, and members may also participate in our Quality, Safety and Risk, Finance and People, Remuneration and Nominations subcommittees. Meetings are offered online / hybrid to enhance opportunities for participation. All members are offered access to a budget for training and support.

We are seeking general members with strong skills in:

  • Organisational governance and supporting rapid growth
  • Legal background or skills in business management, finance, human resources or marketing
  • Understanding of the disability / NDIS fee for service environment

Treasurer

  • Accounting or finance skills, understanding of financial reporting obligations
