North Melbourne Language and Learning (NMLL) is seeking volunteers to join its Committee of Management (CoM).

NMLL assists adult residents of North Melbourne and surrounds to develop the language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills to prepare for employment and or further study, in order build a better life for themselves and their families.

The ideal candidates have governance experience, an understanding of the adult and community education (ACE) system along with relevant experience in either human resources, business development, adult education or community development. Experience in community organisation management and an ability to communicate with a range of people in a variety of situations is also desirable.

The CoM meets at least six meetings per year. Attendance at sub committees may also be required. The CoM meetings are mostly online but may, from mid 2024, alternate with face to face meetings.
